Hosting our first Sensory Friendly event at the ReImagine Center within Autism Shifts was a blast. Councilman, Luis Viera with the City of Tampa was a huge support and driver of the event – and also played our Easter Bunny. It was important to us to create a space that would allow children and their families to have the time they needed to meet and be comfortable with the Easter Bunny. Our space allowed us to have the photos taken in a private office space. We ordered a beautiful throne chair from Classic Events Entertainment and rented the costume from  House of Make Believe. This allowed us to have a fun, friendly and safe space for our Tampa families.

Tampa families joined us to enjoy a number of activities such as a potted plant station, crafts, face painting and a photo booth provided by Photobooth Fun LLC. Cupcakes for a Cause also provided healthy treats for our visitors. The LAAF.org brought their unique Good Humor Ice Cream truck to give out free ice cream to our guests. And the team at INVO Behavioral and Therapy Services joined as a resource partner, introducing their services to those needing additional support. We just can’t express how blessed we were to spend time with these families. The kids were absolutely adorable!

Lastly – we need to give a shout out to our team of volunteers that helped make this a successful event. We couldn’t have done it without you!
